About the Artist

Vojen Wilhelm Cech-Colini, Czech, (1924-2010). Colini was born in Kolin, Czechoslovakia, which is now a part of the Czech Republic. He currently resides in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Colini works only in egg tempera. Through years of travel in Europe, South America, Canada and the USA he developed the unique style that is the trademark of Colini today — surrealism, with a Renaissance overlay.

“His images are from another time, another place. He paints magical worlds with characters and landscapes that are strange, haunting and always enigmatic.” – the exOfficial Colini home page. [DES-12/10]
