About the Artist

Charles Edmund Brock (1870-1938) was a British line artist and book and magazine illustrator. He signed his work ‘C. E. Brock’ and became a very successful illustrator of books authors such as Jonathan Swift, William Thackeray, Jane Austen, and George Eliot. [DES-01/11]
