About the Artist

David Delamare (fl. 1990-2010) is a British-American artist who has spent most of his life in Portland, Oregon. His work includes figurative paintings and portraits, children’s book illustration, and fantasy. He is best known for his fantasy work, specifically his mermaids, fairies and anthropomorphized animals. His preferred media are acrylics, oils and sometimes colored pencils or oil pastels. His works are published by Bad Monkey Productions.

David Delamare has illustrated ten books and exhibits in museums and galleries nationwide. He has produced book covers, theatrical sets, production pieces for Francis Ford Coppola and a book collaboration – Midnight Farm.
