About the Artist

Jennie Summerall (fl. late 20th/early 21st cent.) is a U.S. artist and independent lecturer who lives and works in Belmont, MA. She has been painting portraits and other figurative work for twenty-six years. She paints commissioned portraits and other works, including a portrait of biologist and author E.O. Wilson that hangs at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. She holds an M. Ed from Harvard, has taught at several schools, and lectures frequently on the history of art. [DES-01/11]
