Here is an anonymous reader who wished to contrast the works of the great Sarah Binks with those of another Canadian poet, James McIntyre.

I am assuming the poem in the comment above is an original piece, and while it makes no reference to pigs, I felt it was worthy of inclusion here as the two poets discussed in it are both included in the Best Loved Pig Poetry here at Porkopolis.

I would, however, reserve the moniker “Bard of the Bush” for the poetic likes of Australians Henry Lawson and/or “Banjo” Paterson. Although James McIntyre is most certainly the “Bard Of Cheese” or perhaps the “Chaucer of Cheese.”

While Sarah Binks with lyrics rude
Smites every broad and every dude
With trip-trap metre half-crobarred in
And o’ercooked cliches canned in tin

She excels not Jim MacIntyre[sic]
Whom curd and syrup did inspire
With pointy words did he injure
The enterprise of agriculture

So, Let Sarah shoot her hairy bow
From Sas’wan to Ontario
The arrow not shall find it’s mark
In Macintyre’s pierceless bark

A fan channeling Sarah, it would seem. I wonder just what “Wolf’s Mysteries” are ?

Of Saskatchewan
And Wolfe’s Mysteries.
