About the Artist:

Moreno Pincas, Bulgaria/Israel, (b. 1936) is a painter. He was born in Bulgaria and emigrated to Israel in 1949. Pincas studied at the Avni Art Institute in Tel Aviv. He became a Fellow of the America Israel Cultural Foundation, then moved to Paris and formed at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

The central theme of Pincas works are grotesque scenes, curiosities and noisy and restless imagery drawn from a colorful, rich and sometimes even bloody world. Pincas’s paintings give an alternative look at the realism as created by masters such as Pascin, Goya and Toulouse-Lautrec. [DES-01/16]
