Joseph Crawhall, England, (1861-1913), works include: Pigs at a trough, Study of Pigs. Crawhall was an painter who worked in oils, watercolors and pastels. He was a member of the “Glasgow Boys,” and had a great fondness for birds, horses and other animals as subjects in his work.

Léon Crémière, France, (1831-1872), works include: Cochon couché avec un homme à côté, Cochon couché de face and Cochon couché profil gauche. Crémière was a portrait photographer, but he is best known for his photographs of animals, especially sporting dogs.

Henri Delavallée, French, (1862-1943), works include: Bretonne au cochon or Au bord de la rivière. Delavallée was a French impressionist painter and engraver and the husband of the painter Gabrielle Moreau. He was also a friend Gauguin and Bernard and worked with Camille Pissarro.

Emile Alfred Dezaunay, French (1854-1938/1940), works include: Jeunes Bretonnes et leurs cochons en laisse près de la rivière. Dezaunay was a painter who also worked in print-making, drawing and watercolors. In much of his work, he adopted a very distinctive technique with swirling brushstrokes and flickering colors.

Anne Louise Falkner, England, (1862-1933), aka: Anne L. Falkner; Annie L. Falkner. Works include: Paysans Bretons et les porcs.

Lionel Floch, France, (1895-1972), works include: Bretonnes au marché au cochons, Le marché aux cochons à Plonéour-Lanvern and Marché Breton Aux Cochons. Floch was an engraver, painter and designer. He was essentially a figurative painter who preferred scenes from the life of Pont-Croix , Bigouden and especially the region of Cap Sizun.

Louis Fortuney, France (1878-1950), works include: Bretagne, la foire aux cochons. Fortuney was a pastellist. He specialized in painting elegant women, Parisian city life, café scenes and portraits. Fortuney was almost equally known for his animated illustrations of rural life, landscapes and seascapes.

Gustave Fraipont, Belgium/France (1849-1923), works include: Scène de marché au Folgoët, Bretagne. Fraipont was a French watercolorist, lithographer, painter, poster artist and writer. He was also an art teacher at the Maison d’éducation de la Légion d’honneur and author of numerous books on the art of drawing.
